I'm not certain when this changed. You really should be able to choose the search result columns you want, but you can't. So I would just squeeze the columns down I didn't need and expand the columns I did need. When I closed FileSeek, these changes would stick. Now, I can't vary the column format at all. The search always comes back with the default. I thought saving a profile might help, but it doesn't. Since column selection doesn't seem to be on the horizon, how can I get column customizations to persist?

I should have looked before I leapt. Someone's already complained. I still think we should be able to select the search columns we want and, of course, have them persist. Thanks! Bye now...

I'm having other issues with 4.5. It thinks my header files are .dll files and won't launch the proper application. I have back rev'd to 4.0.1.

These are both on our list, and will hopefully be all fixed up for the next version :)

I'll be sure to post an update as soon as the next version is available.

Thanks!

We've just released a new FileSeek beta version (http://www.fileseek.ca/Download/Beta/) and this issue should be all fixed up. Please let us know if you run into any trouble after updating. You can also customize the columns for the results on the Settings > Results List tab now as well :)

Thanks!
