First of all, thank you for this free handy searching tools especially under windows 7.
My environment is windows 7, fileseek(1.9.3) and notepad++(5.6.4 unicode).
I setup the "other application" as instructed: -n$line$ "$file$"
Where I click on one line in searching result windows, the file can be opened by notepad++. No problem. But it not locate to certain line in notepad++.
I tried the command line out of fieseek: The notepad++ can open the file and goto certain line.
I use the precess monitor to monitor the fileseek process.
Seems the the -n$line$ not passed in and I not sure if it's the reg value causing problem.
HKCU\Software\Classes\SRC_auto_file\shell\open\command\(Default)SUCCESSType: REG_SZ, Length: 96, Data: "C:\Program Files\Notepad++\notepad++.exe" "%1"
What should I do to make it works?
TIA.
Are you right-clicking the search result and selecting "Open with Other Application", or just double-clicking the search result to open it? Double-clicking the result (or selecting "Open") will just use the default Windows open method. When you click "Open with Other Application" it will use your custom settings for navigating to the line number. Does this help, or are you already selecting "Open with Other Application"?

I have just downloaded your excellent tool and I have found what it looks to be a bug. If the line number is 999 or below, my editor receives the full line number, but if is 1.120, for example, it only receives 1
This makes it unusable for my purposes with long files.
This issue is now fixed in the newly released version 2.1.3. You can find this new version here:

Thanks!
