Hello,
I just realized that there is no file handler for file type PDF in my FileSeek installaition. As a result I cannot search by specifying text strings.
I have the Pro 6.7 version. Is there a good way to download a valid PDF handler?
Also is there a handler for Mathematica notebooks with type extension "NB"?

My license is registered under "Fermilab Yu-Chiu Chao".
My email is ychao@fnal.gov, under which I have a user account with you, but my license is under the above long name.
Thanks a lot!

Hi Yu,

You can find a list of known working file handlers, including a PDF file handler, here: https://www.fileseek.ca/FAQ/#KnownWorkingFileHandlersinFileSeek

I did a quick serach for a .NB file handler, but I couldn't seem to find one :(

Thank you so much! No worries about the .nb. Actually if I turn off the handler deature it can read the .nb file to some extent. Not too bad.

Hello,
After that last answer from you worked for me a few years ago, I got a new PC with Win11 64 bit, and am facing the same problem, namely, FileSeek claims there is no file handler for PDF files. I looked at this old link you provided, but it refers back to itself now, so I still need an installable PDF file handler. Do you know if there is an updated link? Thanks a lot!

Hello,
In the meantime, I saw this
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/4019417/pdf-ifilter-no-longer-connected-to-windows-11-sear?page=1#answers
which only adds to my confusion. Is there an easy fix to this within the context of FileSeek?
Thanks!

Hello,

No worries. The link is still good. Just my VPN blocked the MSI file. Now it's OK. Thanks!
