After a long search of many files I finally have a couple of dozen results. However, I would like to narrow them down with another search. So, to be clear, I want to search my results, not the initial path(s). As far as I can see this isn't (currently) possible?

If you right-click a result, you can choose "Show filter controls." That will show a text box at the top-right of the results list which you can use to filter the list.

Hope that helps!

That searches in filenames. I want to narrow down by searching in the files (as "query" does). So imagine I search (query) for
foo
in my entire codebase (path:
d:\code
), files:
*.cs
; that yields, say, 1500 results. Now I want to search into those 1500 files for (query)
bar
.

Ah gotcha, that isn't currently possible, but I will add it to our feature request list.

Thanks!
