Dear Support,

i tried the demo ver. and i liked it, and i just bought it now, all what i wanted to have is the following:

* I have One Excel File with ONE sheet, it has more than 4000 records
i just wanted to Search for a Specific TEXT inside it, and the Software should show
the LINE(s) containing this matched text.

all goes OK, except the last part, which is filtering results, it seems its not even highlighting
my text.

Note: My excel is 2003 (.XLS) not even the new one

thank you

You'll need to make sure you have an IFilter installed that supported XLS files, and that you have the "Process file contents using File Handlers" option enabled.

Is it finding the results correctly, and just not highlighting them? Or does it not find anything at all?

Well see, i POINTED the App to one SPECIFIC FOLDER
inside it, i have only ONE EXCEL FILE (.XLS not XLSX)

i installed the Office Filter Pack, and using Office 2007 installed
the file was created in Office 2003

I tried the DEMO ver. was very happy with it, IT FINDS what am looking for inside EXCEL FILE
BUT

In DEMO i was expecting the App. to HIGHLIGHT the found results, but it says have to register to highlight results in BLUE

I bought it, tried it, NOT HIGHLIGHTING anything.

As i said before, i have more than 4000 records inside, what i wanted is to search for records
and get the COMPLETE RAW of found matched result(s)

thank you

You can try the Pro Trial version to see if it fits your needs before buying it. If you already used the trial in the past let me know and I can send you a new trial registration email. Thanks!

@Krikor: It should be highlighting the results in the left pane (where it just shows the raw text), but it won't highlight the results in the right pane (the preview pane that is formatted like the actual spreadsheet). Could you send me a screenshot of your FileSeek window after doing a search?

here is it,
i was expecting the results highlighted in XLS
seems not what i was looking for or expecting.

are you guys going to update the App. to highlight those results for example in the future?

thank you

Unfortunately that's not something we can add. The preview handlers are third-party DLLs (i.e. the Excel preview handler is written by Microsoft), and they just straight display the file. They don't give us any options to highlight or manipulate the way the file is displayed in the preview pane.

Sorry!
