Hi,

I am using using FileSeek in Visual Studio software projects. These are under source control, which involves having a hidden subfolder called '.git.'. No matter what I try, I don't seem to be able to get FileSeek to ignore this folder. Can anyone tell me how to do this, please?

Kind wishes ~ Patrick

Could you tell me what you're entering in the "Exclude Paths" box, and also whether or not the "Treat all Exclude Path filters as wildcards" option is enabled on the Tools > Settings > Search tab?

Thanks!

Hi,

Please see the attached screenshot.

As you can see, I have tried excluding .git as a file and a folder. I have also tried each option individually. In all cases, I get results from the .git hidden file, as shown in the image.

Note that, for security, I have erased the first part of the path on each entry, but all parts I have erased were identical when I took the screenshot.

Kind wishes ~ Patrick

Can you try taking it out of the Exclude Files box, and entering the following in the Exclude Paths box?

Code

.git|packages
